This was the week Lampira stopped being a private build and started acting like a product: a redesigned Settings, real deck import, honest AI diagnostics, polite reminders — and a proper home on the web. Here is everything that shipped, in the order you'll feel it.
Settings, redesigned
Settings got a new information architecture. The screens you touch weekly — language, reminders, intelligence, account — sit right at the top; the technical machinery moved into an Advanced section where it can't intimidate anyone. Less scrolling, fewer decisions, nothing lost.
Bring your decks: Anki, RemNote, CSV, Markdown
The import pipeline is in. .apkg files from Anki arrive as native Lampira cards — not attachments, not read-only copies — and go straight into FSRS scheduling. RemNote exports, CSV and TSV tables, Markdown and plain text come along too, and the whole thing is wired into the app shell so importing is a first-class action, not a hidden menu.
Apple Intelligence: diagnostics instead of shrugs
On-device AI has one frustrating property: when it's off, iOS rarely tells you why. Lampira now does. Settings runs a real probe and explains exactly what's blocking Apple Intelligence on your device — the language mismatch, the missing restart, the model still downloading — and how to fix it. Local models: Ollama and LM Studio
The Intelligence settings grew a Local Model screen. Point Lampira at a model running on your own Mac or PC — Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible server — test the connection, pick a model from the live list, done. Nothing is saved until the connection test succeeds, so a half-working setup is impossible. Guide: Connect your own AI model.
Reminders that respect your evening
Review reminders shipped: one notification a day, at the hour you choose, with your due-card count. New this week — quiet hours the reminder never crosses, an optional second nudge you have to switch on yourself, and a permission flow that asks nicely instead of ambushing you on first launch.
A mindmap fix you'll notice
Branch connectors were clipped below multiline pills — long headings made the map look torn. Fixed; long branches now draw cleanly.
Accounts and web sign-in
The lampira.space backend went live: optional accounts, Sign in with Apple, and a browser-to-app hand-off so you can sign in on the web and land in the app. The architecture didn't move an inch: local-only remains the default, and an account syncs review events only — never the content of your notes or cards.
Paperwork, done properly
The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are up, in English and Russian, written for GDPR and readable by humans. The short version of both: your notes never touch our servers, and nothing will ever be charged without your explicit confirmation.
And this website
The landing you're on was rebuilt this week in both languages, with a help center for AI setup — and one firm design decision: the site is always light. Dark mode lives inside the app, as a choice; the website keeps its porcelain.
